With the very mild climate there is an abundance of flora and fauna with numerous gardens such as Kennedy gardens, Glen Wan, Dunskey and the famous Logan Botanical Gardens all within easy reach. The area is steeped in history with ancient monuments and castles, lots of wild life, including deer roaming the woodland, and seals all along the coast.
You can catch the fast crossing from Stranraer to Ireland for a brilliant day trip as and visit the famous Caorseway, Zoo and others for around £28 inclusive.
There are lots of golf courses the nearest being half a mile away and the house is also ideally placed for sea, trout, salmon, course and coastal fishing.
British open golf championship 11th July to 20th July 2009 at Turnberry.
The house is a forty five minute drive away from turnberry, but we can offer free parking within walking distance of the course.
